Since Herbert Neumeyer took over the quilt sewing business (formerly Reuß in Aschaffenburg) on 1 January 1955, the company f.a.n. frankenstolz Schlafkomfort has developed from very small beginnings into one of the most important home textile manufacturers in Europe.

Family business

Dynamic and modern

  • With initially only one quilting machine and 10 to 12 employees, almost 40 parts were produced per day at that time.
  • Today, production takes place in German factories on an area of approx. 150,000m2 using state-of-the-art machinery. More than 800 employees can produce up to 35,000 quilts and pillows and up to 6,000 mattresses a day, which are distributed internationally.
  • Constant expansions, conversions and modernisations represent a benchmark for the dynamism of the family business.

Growth and change

  • Constant innovations emanating from Frankenstolz have had a significant influence on the entire bed market.
  • In 1988, Mr. Herbert Neumeyer, as the new owner of the Häussling feather and down factory in Neustadt/Weinstraße, sets the course for a successful future.
  • 2013 Herbert Neumeyer takes over the brand bedding manufacturer Centa-Star in Stuttgart
  • The founder of the company, Herbert Neumeyer, who died in 2016, brought the companies of the Frankenstolz Group under the Herbert Neumeyer Holding into the non-profit Herbert Neumeyer Foundation (to secure the company and jobs in the long term).
